The Best of Florence & Chianti
Art, Food, and Wine Tour.
Be part of a small group of people
(limited to 14) that will enjoy a unique accompanied tour with 8 nights lodging in charming 4-star quality historical residences, wineries/country resorts. You'll be dining at carefully selected restaurants and trattorias, lodged at 3 different locations in Florence and in the Chianti area including a 13th-century abbey (now privately owned) located near Gaiole in Chianti as well as a deluxe 4-star winery located in northern Chianti.
This tour begins on day one at the residence in Florence. Your private guide will show you the "best of Florence"... that includes the central market (il Mercato centrale) and the Accademia Gallery. You will walk the streets of Dante & Michelangelo. You'll visit the Santa Croce Basilica, lunch at an enoteca in Piazza Pitti, and dine along the river Arno in Florence at a charming bistro owned by the Ferragamo family. During this 8-day food & wine tour, you will experience three privately guided city tours - Florence, Siena & San Gimignano. You will embark on a breathtaking country tour of the Val d'Orcia where you will visit a pecorino cheese farm, a 13th century castle winery and the Santa Giulia winery in the Brunello di Montalcino region to taste magnificent wines and have a wonderful family style dinner prepared by "la nonna"!
If all the above weren't enough, you will be spending the afternoon in a charming hamlet setting farmhouse situated in the heart of Chianti for a wonderful hands-on cooking class!
There is a minimum of 6 winery visits with tastings on this tour. All wineries are located in Tuscany.
Cooking in Chianti
HANDS-ON cooking & TOURING
You will be part of a very small group of 12 guests enjoying a fabulous 7 night - 8 day Cooking and Touring vacation lodged in charming 4-star quality historical hotels & country resorts. You'll begin the week in Florence where you will spend 2 nights in the historical center of the city just a stones throw from Piazza Santa Croce and 5 nights in an historic 15th century manor house hotel located in charming Radda-in-Chianti.
During the course of the week in magical Chianti, you will experience FIVE hands-on cooking classes around the region. Your kitchens will be in charming farm houses, historic palazzos and wineries. All classes end with a group family style lunch or dinner. Classes are designed to give a real hands-on approach showcasing the tradition of Tuscan cooking. While lessons are in different locations around Chianti the common thread is the same throughout.... a love of Italian food and culture! You'll be in the hands of the chefs of wineries, local restaurants and professional culinary instructors around Chianti.
You will have your private licensed tour guide to show you the best of Florence. You'll visit the Uffizi Gallery and get lost in the central market. You will also be touring in and around Tuscany with excursions to Cortona, San Gimignano, Siena and the amazing Monte Oliveto Maggiore. There are 3 winery visits where you will visit the ancient cellars and taste some wonderful local wines.

Florence to Venice

This magnificent 8 day - 7 night art,

The tour begins in Renaissance Florence where you will spend 3 days with private guides visiting the iconic landmarks of the city including museum visits (Uffizi Gallery) and an Renaissance City Tour, wonderful meals and naturally shopping. The tour transfers to a spectacular winery/castle for 2 nights in Chianti which will be the base camp where you will enjoy a delightful meal at the castle's restaurant in addition you will visit hill-top town of San Gimignano followed by wine tasting at a near-by winery at Poggio Alloro. You will then transfer by 1st class train to Venice where you will enjoy the city of Doges and touring the island of Murano. You will have a foodie and cultural tour of the most romantic city on planet Earth!
