Art Food & Wine Tour

This magnificent four star 7 night, 8 day art, food and wine tour to two of the Europe's most richest cities in terms of art and culture takes you to experience places where time virtually has not moved in over 500 years.   The tour begins in Renaissance Florence where you will spend 3 days with private guides visiting the iconic landmarks of the city including museum visits, wonderful meals and naturally shopping.  The tour transfers to a spectacular winery/castle for 2 nights which will be the base camp where you will enjoy a delightful meal at the castle's restaurant in addition you will visit the hill-top town of San Gimignano followed by wine tasting at a near-by winery.  The final 2 days take place in magical Venice!  You will transfer by train to the island city and be guided on a very special foodie tour, a cultural artistic tour and take a memorable excursion to the island of Murano.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Seven nights total in double occupancy of which 3 nights in an historical 4 star hotel in the center of Florence, 2 nights in a 4 star deluxe winery in Chianti and 2 nights in a charming 4 star hotel in Venice located just minutes from the famous Rialto bridge. Single room supplement (solo traveler) is US$750 for 2023/4 and $850 for 2025 tours.

MEALS 

All breakfasts and most lunches and dinners included daily (additional meals as per tour itinerary).  As are all our tours, food is a very important aspect. We carefully hand-pick all restaurants & trattorias based on uniqueness, quality, service and atmosphere!

TRANSFERS

The tour begins on day 1 at the hotel in Florence and ends in Venice.  Taxi service is readily available upon your arrival at the Florence airport and train station and the flat rate is approximately Euros 27.

 

All land transport for excursions included as per itinerary in addition to first class rail from Florence to Venice as well as transfer for the day excursion to Murano.  This tour ends in Venice. We can assist you in transfer to the Venice airport or return train tickets back to Florence should you desire.

WINERY TOURS

There will be 1 winery tour with tastings of wine, olive oil and balsamic vinegar in the Chianti area that include 3-4 variations of local wines and cellar tour.

COOKING CLASS

You'll enjoy a wonderful hands-on cooking class in the heart of Chianti in a 16th century castle in their ancient kitchens

GUIDED CITY TOURS 

There are 3 guided city tours in Florence, San Gimignano and Venice and includes museum entry tickets for the Uffizi Gallery & the Accademia Gallery in Florence and Saint Marks in Venice in addition to excursion to the Island of Murano. City walking tours duration vary from 1.5 to 2.5 hours visiting Saint Mark's Square, the Realto and all the shops in the area as well as the many iconic spots of the city. In addition to the city tour of Venice, there is also a very special food & wine "cicchetti" adventure in store!  Level of walking on this tour is MODERATE.  Please bring comfortable shoes that are appropriate for walking the inclined hard stone city streets of our renaissance and medieval towns.
