ACCOMMODATIONS & MEALS
Accommodations are in 4 star quality historical & boutique hotels, wineries & country resorts. We use our best resources to locate wonderfully charming accommodations that are decorated with character and are perfect for each specific tour location. Guests are lodged in Florence at the contemporary boutique Gallery Hotel Art which belongs to the Lungarno Collection of Hotels and is part of the Ferragamo Group of hospitality resorts. The Gallery Art hotel is a full service hotel with 24 hour reception, room service, full service bar, restaurant and access to roof top terrace and selected cafe's belonging to the Lungarno group. Our partner Chianti resorts include: Castello di Gabbiano, Badia a Coltibuono, Palazzo Leopoldo (Ross Hotel Group), Villa Bordoni as well as the Ai Reali Hotel in Venice and the Hotels Rufolo & Giordano in Ravello. Room configurations are double occupancy in standard rooms with Italian queen beds. Please note that twin rooms are limited and may not be available at all locations, please inquire availability when booking. Single rooms will incur a surcharge and vary according to tour.
Due to the historical architecture of the properties with which we partner, rooms are unique and will likely vary in size. In many instances, it is possible to up-grade standard rooms to superior, deluxe or suites on our tours. Please inquire when booking for supplemental prices for such up-grades.
Two meals minimum daily are included (breakfast + lunch and/or dinner with the exception of "free days"), and there may be days in which all meals are included. Please note that not every diet can be provided and that informing us of your condition does not guarantee the ability to supply your specific dietary needs, especially for diets described as low fat and low cholesterol. Diets such as dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian and other specific food allegories can typically be provided. Note that vegan diets will not be possible on our tours.
We are informing you that travel insurance is advised as it may protect you from possible loss of money due unexpected trip cancellation or interruption due to accident, sickness or death, baggage loss, medical expenses and emergency air transportation costs. Travel insurance must be purchased prior to final tour installment (balance payment). We can supply you with a list of reputable travel insurance providers should you desire.
IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
To ensure that your passport is VALID for at least SIX MONTHS beyond the return date.
To ensure that you have the necessary tourists visa should it be required. Note that from March 2025, a visa waiver called ETIAS must be obtained by all US, Canadian and Australian travelers is required and is valid for 90 days. Details can be found at: www.etias.info/visas-requirements/us-citizens
To arrive at the tour start point (hotel or specific train station) as per tour time-lines. Tours begin on day 1 as per tour specific itinerary at the Florence hotel for all tours beginning in Florence or the Naples train station for the Amalfi Coast & Ravello tour (unless otherwise specified in tour itinerary). Upon arrival at the Florence airport, taxis are readily available however should you desire our private driver please contact us for details and we will arrange a transfer to our Florence hotel in the city center. Amalfi Coast tour guests are to travel by train from Florence to Naples together and will be transferred by tour driver to the hotel in Ravello. Train details will be communicated to tour guests. Those coming from other areas of Italy are to meet the group at the train station in Naples in order to be included in the Pompeii excursion. Train tickets are not included in the Amalfi tour costs.
At tour end we offer a complimentary transfer to the Florence train station (or Naples train station) and Florence airport ("Best of Florence & Chianti", "Cooking in Chianti" and "Amalfi Coast & Ravello" tours only) departing at 11.00 am from Chianti resorts and 10.00 am from Ravello hotels. Should you need to be at the Florence airport prior to 1:30 pm we will arrange a transfer on your behalf at your charge (this is not complementary).
To follow local (Italian and EU) Covid-19 and other vaccine requirements for entry into the European Union.
We do not require guests to take part in activities should they not desire to do so. Tours have been modified to satisfy all national safety regulations in Italy. It is your responsibility to follow safety guidelines on all tours.
To act in an adult, mature and responsible fashion. Excessive consumption of alcohol which results in the disruption of daily activities of the group (or hotel facilities) will result in your immediate removal from the tour without any compensation.
To ensure you are able to walk comfortably on hard stone surfaces for periods of up to 2 hours at a time. The streets in the towns in which we tour are primarily cobblestone, uneven and hilly. There is moderate walking on all our tours.
To pack appropriately with not more than one 50 lb (24 kg) suitcase and one carry-on. All luggage must be tagged with your name and address, this is due to storage space on our buses. Luggage tags will ensure a smoother check-in process at our partner hotels & winery resorts.
EARLY ARRIVAL & LATE STAY OPTIONS
Should you like to arrive early or prolong your stay before or beyond the published tour date, we will assist you with reservations in the designated tour area not exceeding 3 days. It is a good idea to arrive a day early so as to adjust to the new time zone and recuperate from your jet lag. If you are looking to add more than 3 days to your holiday, either before or after your Tour with Tasting Tuscany, we will be glad to assist you (by making reservations, suggesting resorts, hotels, restaurants & wineries) for a nominal fee of $200. Our winery partners are the perfect spot to prolong your Tuscan dream vacation as most of them are also resorts with impeccable hospitality facilities. Note that if you use a third party vendor to reserve hotels rooms or purchase an airline ticket, we will not be able to assist you should you desire changes.
As air transport is not included in our tour packages, it is your responsibility to arrive to the tour start location. Should you desire to plan your own air travel kindly inform us prior at booking and don't forget to forward us your travel itinerary to Florence.
SECURING YOUR SPOT
Your position on this Tour will be secured only when we have received the following:
Booking (signed and returned) Form will be forwarded to you upon our receipt of Registration Form.
Non-refundable Tour Deposit US$550.00 per guest (generally covered in travel insurance). This deposit may be applied to a future tour (up to 1 year from the date of the original registered tour). Go to "Payment Options" page for deposit details.
Proof of I.D., either copy of passport or drivers license. Note that minors are not permitted on our tours.
TOUR RESCHEDULING or CANCELLATION
Re-scheduling or cancellation by passenger: All cancellations must be received in writing. Refunds will be made according to the following: 121 days or more prior to original Tour Start Date - Refund, less non-refundable deposit of US$550. Cancellations that are made less than 120 days to original Tour Start Date - No Refund, however we will re-schedule any tour to a future tour date not exceeding12 months from original tour date, beyond that date, tour fees paid will be forefeited. Should a tour be postponed due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, guests will have the option of selecting any scheduled tour for an 18 month period from the original tour date. Re-booking fees will be applied (see below). Note that prices and itineraries may vary for future tours and you are responsible for paying any differences in tour fees.
It is not possible to re-schedule a tour to a future tour date within 6 weeks of any tour start date.
If you desire to change a tour date after having been confirmed, a US$150.00 pp re-booking fee per will be applied. Tour changes that are within 90 days (3 months) of the tour date will be subjected to a 10% penalty on the entire tour cost which includes the re-booking fee. This includes moving a confirmed tour to a future tour period whilst outside the above 6 week to tour start period.
Confirmation letters are forwarded to guests when their position is secured. Welcome packs are forwarded following the tour confirmation. Final tour balances are required approximately 5 months prior to tour (exact date for balances due are specified on the booking form which will be forwarded upon registration).
REQUESTING TOUR/VACATION ITINERARY
You can request detailed itinerary from the tour/vacation description pages or by contacting us from the Contact button located in the main toolbar at the top of the page. Itineraries are subject to minor changes without notice before the vacations begin and may be due to closures due to local festivals, due to weather or seasonal changes as well as availability of tour leaders, guides, hours of restaurants, wineries and other relative venues to specific tours. Itineraries are prepared well in advance and if we must make changes it is because our goal is to make it better for our guests!

Tasting Tuscany LLC will never sell or share any personal information of any booked guests nor of any person that has requested itineraries or information regarding tours. Our hospitality partners receive only names of persons booked approximately 1 month prior to tour dates. All photos from tours and testimonials will be used only for tourism and social media website advertising and will never be authorized to be used by third parties. The information requested on this form is for internal use to enable us to process your booking and will not be shared, sold to any 3rd party. The data will be processed respecting the principles of the EU general data rules (EU Regulation No. 679 of 2016).
WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED
Air travel, travel insurance, transfer to hotel on day one of the scheduled tour, tips & gratuities, hotel City Tax (varies from 4 to 8 euros per person per night), after dinner drinks or special wines at tastings that are not part of what is provided to the group, frigo-bar contents in rooms, meals that are not indicated on tour itinerary, gelatos and coffees while on visits or in transit, entrance fees to gardens or museums (unless indicated otherwise on the itinerary). Should you prolong your trip beyond the standard tour period, you will be responsible for transit back to Florence train station or airports. Should you opt to use the tour driver upon your arrival to Florence, this fee will be paid directly to the driver (contact us for airport/training station transit to hotel). If your airline departure time is before 1:30 pm you will NOT be able to take advantage of the complementary 11:00 transfer from the last hotel/winery to Florence. We will arrange for transportation if you cannot meet the group transit times (this is not complementary).
EXTEND YOUR STAY
Let us know if you want to arrive early or stay on after your tour. We'll give you some great ideas and of course if you simply want to stay on and relax at one of our partner hotels or country resorts that's always a great plan. Please inform us of your intentions when booking your tour to ensure your reservations.
